transit by fable systems
Overview
Transit is a first-person immersive storytelling game made in Unreal engine 5 featuring a sock puppet as one of it's two leading characters. Transit won an best-in-show award at the TAGS showcase during Copenhagen Gaming Week in 2025.
I was involved in polishing the game including: interactive environments, ambient effects, scene lighting and enhancing the overall visual quality of the game.
The demo of the game will be released on steam soon!


CAthedral of sorrow by foolhardy horizons


Overview
In this maze of a cathedral, find your way through, get to know the people inside- and uncover more about yourself in the process. The game is created using innovative motion capture and storytelling software to capture real life actor performances, presented in Unreal engine 5.
I was involved helping out with the final touches of the game including: gameplay effects, ambient effects, scene lighting and enhancing the overall visual quality of the game.

Neon knights: humanity erased by eddaheim


Overview
Neon Knights: Humanity Erased is a third-person shooter set in a dark and cold nordic future, where digital demons poses an ever increasing threat to the livelihood of already struggling citizens inhabiting a dystopian future Copenhagen.
In this project I was mainly in charge of combat and gameplay related effects including: shooting, character abilities, satisfying impacts, holographic, lightning and heat effects.

My name is Kim Johnsson, a technical artist graduated from The Game Assembly, specializing in real-time visual effects for games. Using my skills with particle effects, shaders and asset creation to craft eye catching wonders and captivating visuals.
From gameplay and environment effects to cinematics and motion graphics. I'm up for any challenge when it comes to visual effects. I also have previous experience with 3d modeling, rigging, animation, look development, scene composition & lighting.
My current base of operations is from Växjö, Sweden. But for the right job I am more than willing to relocate!
Besides English I'm also proficient in Swedish, and can hold simple conversations in French and Japanese.
